Jacksonville State University announces the recent appointment of alumnus Bill Nash to the position of development officer in the Office of Institutional Development. He officially began work at JSU on January 4.
Nash, a Georgia native, graduated from JSU in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. In 1990, he began a 15-year career with UPS, where he worked in sales, sales training, and marketing. He left UPS to serve in a John C. Maxwell organization, INJOY Stewardship Services, working with churches to develop leaders and raise dollars for capital projects. Recently, he was a partner and vice president of sales with OURcard, a marketing company based in Buford, Ga.
Nash is married to the former Deva Collins of Gainesville, Ga. They are the parents of two daughters: Laura, a freshman at JSU; and Rebecca, a sophomore in high school.
“I’m excited to be back on campus. It’s like being back home,” Nash says of his new position.
“JSU has accomplished so much in the past few years, and there is so much more to come. I’m honored to be a small part of that. We are in a position to have a huge impact on thousands of lives. I’m lucky to be in such a great place.”
